Lothar Curt Alfred Geyer was born Jan 23, 1935 in Suhl, Germany. In 1952 Lothar came to the United states with Fritz Furcht's "Frielanis Bicycle Troupe", to perform with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. The troupe consisted of seven people, five men and two women who performed various tricks on bicycles. The act concluded with all members of the team riding on one bike. For unknown reasons one of the girls left the act, needing a replacement the troupe call upon Digger Pugh (father of Johnny Pugh), who trained and supplied performers to many circuses and the motion picture industry "Digger Girls". The young lady that Digger sent was Jill Goding, (born 04/19/1945 at Old Church Essex, England). On August 19, 1963 Lothar and Jill were married. While the troupe was working with the Clyde Beatty Cole Bros. Circus, Geyer purchased the "Finger Stand" props of performer Joe Galasso and began working on his own solo balancing act. Geyer's "One Finger Stand Act" debuted and was featured on the on the Clyde Beatty Cole Bros. Circus. Lothar in his tuxedo and Jill in her beautiful gowns added a touch of elegance and class whereever they performed. On August 29, 1978 Jill and Lothar's marriage ended in divorced, then on May 2, 1981 Geyer married Charlene Susan Culbreath. After retiring from the center ring Lothar purchased a boat and began a fishing charter service in Bradenton, FL.
