George R. Beers

George R. Beers had been in the amusement business since 1908 when he and his family formed the Five Musical Beers. After several seasons with the Barnes Comedy Company, he organized his own repertory company.

In 1934 the Barnes Players and Beers Players joined to form the Beers-Barnes Circus, which was later operated by his son, Charles W Beers and son-in-law Roger Barnes.
